Lot 8A: Miss HMC Polled 274/1 (P)
DOB: February 18, 2025
Sire: +Mr. V8 279/7 (P)
Dam: Miss HMC Polled 56/1 (P)
GENETIC POWERHOUSE – TRIED & TRUE!
This heifer is out of two incredibly influential POLLED Brahmans that have made their mark on the breed. Her sire +Mr. V8 279/7 (P) is a Register of Renown bull who ranks as the #1 POLLED sire in the breed based on registrations. 279/7is known for producing very
consistent, quality, and performance driven progeny and is the sire of many champions. All of our 279/7 calves are incredibly uniform and don’t disappoint when it comes to easy ranching and functionality. If you are looking for something to put in the showring – the 279/7 calves are always fancy, well conditioned, and docile – by nature. On the flip side of the coin, these calves just as equally perform in the pasture as they do in the ring. Consistency is a highly sought after trait and this sire always provides that and more!
The dam to 274/1 is our STAR polled donor, Miss HMC Polled 56/1 (P)! You really can’t say
enough about this cow. She is also one of our first HMC branded donors with good
reason. With her progeny, we’ve made over $175,000 on her alone. People are drawn
to her natural muscle, her moderate frame, and easy keeping/fleshing. 56/1 maintains
the best body condition year round, no matter the environment/weather or if she’s
nursing a calf. On top of that she is very FERTILE, with a good milk supply and
symmetric udder. Her progeny are just the same in the quality and functionality. This is a
COW who does her job well and produces equally superior calves. This cross is a rancher’s dream come true: functional, easy keeping, structurally very correct, performance driven, docile and POLLED & PROVEN! This heifer is an opportunity to acquire ELITE genetics most sought after in the registered/polled realm.
Lot 8B: Miss HMC Polled 267/1 (P)
DOB: February 13, 2025
Sire: NCC Municipal (PS)
Dam: Miss HMC Polled 73/1 (P)
NEW GENETICS – MORE POWER!
Over the last year or two, NCC Municipal has been hot on the scene in the US. These genetics were imported by V8 Ranch from Australia where polled Brahmans are king and have been finetuned through breeding for many years. Bringing this bull over has afforded the US polled market to use new blood with incredible uniformity, superb natural muscling and bone. Integrating these genetics into our herd has been NO MISTAKE! You can see the difference when surveying the herd that his offspring clearly pack something different under the hump. In calving, his progeny have had no issues with vigor, nursing, or development, in addition birthweights are modest. This particular mating is the result of something really special!
On the dam side, Miss HMC Polled 73/1 (P) is one of our first HMC branded donors who is highly performance driven. When I think of what Brahmans were made for and why they are the common denominator for crossbred cattle in the southern US – I think of her. She is a classic Brahman mama cow with all the right traits and a POLLED cherry on top. 73/1 is
FERTILE, naturally and with IVF. Her breed back record after naturally calving is top of
the herd. When it comes to maternal instincts, that’s where she shines – she has a very
uniform udder with ample milk supply, she is very protective and raises a calf in all the
right ways. Even in her working clothes, with a calf at side and bred back again, she out
performs and maintains condition and stamina, no matter the environmental conditions.
She also boasts her own natural muscling and power akin to the Municipal genetics.
The combo is sure to give you something different, a genetic outcross bred for
POLLED, PERFORMANCE and EFFICIENCY…for the cowman – that’s the only kind!
This is a unique opportunity for fresh new genetics with a near perfect resume.
