The sire to these embryos is the 2008 ABBA Show Bull of the Year and most importantly Vanguard Sire (+)SCD Esto Didor 302.  As you might expect with these accolades 302 has been a significant sire siring three Maternal Merit Cows, a Vanguard Cow, the 2011 ABBA Show Bull of the Year & Maternal Performance Sire (=) SCD Didor Esto 623,+JDH Lady Manso 563 who was the dam to the 2024 National Champion Grey Female & the Champion ET Produce of Dam, as well as 253 other progeny that includes many influential donors and sires.

The dam to the embryos is Miss V8 650/6 who was owned by Dubina Rose Ranch and one of their top donors with 32 registered progeny.  A few of the most notable progeny out of Miss V8 650/6 were the Louisiana State Fair Calf Champion Female, a polled donor that was used by Dubina Rose Ranch and they sold to Nick Youens, three replacement heifers sold to England Cattle Company with one producing a sale feature, and one of the high selling bulls in the ABBA Performance Tested Bull Sale.  In addition to her production one of the strong suits of Miss V8 650/6 is her pedigree that results from crossing (+)JDH Mr. Charley Manso with the 2001 International Champion +Miss V8 780/5.  Show that pedigree to an “Old Timer” and they will tell you that in its day it was as good as there was! 

There is no question that these embryos are a little “old school” but are backed by some of the most PROVEN genetics in the breed and could be a piece of the puzzle in creating the next great one!
