This beautiful red tinged, heavy boned, beefy, long & level made female produced a show winner for Asa Lee in Mississippi, two daughters that were purchased by Sandglass Ranch, and lot 12 in this sale. The average price of her daughters has been $9,000 validating the quality of and demand for her offspring. Ava was the result of a successful flush with two sisters making competitive show heifers with one topping the 2022 Tip of Texas Sale at $22,300 and being purchased as a donor for Sandglass Ranch & Circle F Farms while another sister is serving as a donor for Quest Cattle Genetics. The sire to Ava is +Mr. V8 279/7 who is one of the most widely used polled sires around the world. +Mr. V8 279/9 is sired by the National Champion and breed influencer +JDH Mr. Elmo Manso and out of Miss V8 510/6 who also produced Mr. V8 794/7 and Miss V8 100/6 (National Champion & dam to +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble”). The dam to Ava would have to be considered as one of the most influential polled cows in the breed with 21 registered progeny to include show winners, donor dams, and a daughter selected by Jim Williams to be added to the V8 Ranch herd. LMC LF Polled Muneca 152/4 (P) was sold in the 2023 Tip of Texas Sale for $40,200 and purchased by KI Cattle Company. Unfortunately, 152/4 died making her genetics exclusive.
The ONLY reason that Ava is selling is due to La Muneca-Flores Cattle Co. dissolving some of their partnership cattle.
