Black Beauty has enjoyed a successful show career being named as the All American Reserve Calf Champion as a baby and then most recently being named as the Reserve Grand Champion at the STAR Show before picking up a Division Championship at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Junior Show. This eye appealing female is big bodied and heavy muscled. The dam to Black Beauty is LMC LF Polled Hazel 175/0 (P) who is a full sister to Polled Spirit and a number of other influential animals in our herd and the breed that combines the Reserve International Champion +LMC Polled Passion 55/4 (P) and +Mr. V8 279/7. Black Beauty and her flushmate brother Gunsmoke teamed up to get their dam Polled Hazel the Grand Champion ET Produce of Dam at both the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show validating the quality and consistency of her progeny.
The sire to Black Beauty is MCC Polled Smoke 14/9 (P) who has been one of the most popular sires in the breed due to his black color and polled status. Polled Smoke’s sire results from crossing one of the foundation black sires +JME Mr. Suvacrat 225 (P) with the 2010 International Champion Grey Female and the dam to the 2022 International & National Champion Female, +Lady H Lisa Manso 947/7. The dam to Polled Smoke combines a J.D. Hudgins sire with a cow that carries the influence of J. Henry Novak.
