This pregnant recipient that is due in March 2025 results from one of our freshest matings.  Last Fall we purchased one of only five semen packages ever offered on VL Rojo Mocho 92/2 (P) who we think is one of the next top polled sires due to his proven but diverse genetics and superior phenotype.  92/2 has been a successful show bull for Santa Elena Ranch. Not only do we like his build but his pedigree being out of the 2017 International Champion Cow VL Elena 4/165 and by the patriarch Santa Elena Ranch polled bull VL Rojo Mocho 5/140 (P) who was the sire of their entire Fall 2023 sale offering. 

The dam to the resulting calf, Miss KI Pasco 188, is our daughter’s show heifer and a full sister to the 2024 International Champion.  The sire to 188 is +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble” who has sired more winners than any other sire over the past five years to include National Champions, International Champions, and Get of Sire titles which escalated his semen value to over $15,000/straw and is now no longer available in the United States.  The dam to 188 is +CT Lady Pasco Rhineaux 1/13 the National & International Champion who was also named “Champion of the World”.  Pasco Rhineaux produced among many other winners the 2020 International Reserve Grand Champion Red Female & the 2024 International Champion Red Female. 

We are exciting about the results of this mating as the calf will be backed by some of the breeds most proven genetics but also offer a new Polled Red Brahman line.  Think about the possibilities!
