Miss Sandglass 58/2 is a female that we purchased as a two month old calf along with her recipient. We thought enough of her that we sent her to Brandy Barnes to be halter broken and shown during the 2023-2024 show seasons. You might ask why we are selling this female after we made the purchase and spent the money to show her as a representative of our herd. The answer is simple. That’s what we do! Our day job is in the manufacturing business, and we model our cattle operation with the same mentality of producing superior offspring and selling EVERYTHING so you are guaranteed that we are offering our BEST!
Miss Sandglass 58/2 is a daughter of +Mr. H Maddox Manso 684 who has been one of the most widely and successfully used sires in the breed with over 800 registered progeny in the United States. In his first calf crop Maddox sired an International Champion Female and followed up in 2015 and 2021 with sons being named with the highest show honor. It should also be noted that +Maddox has been recognized with BOTH National & International Champion Get of Sire titles which is an indication of the consistent quality that he sires.
The dam to 58/2 is a proven donor that is sired by the International & National Champion, multiple performance trait leader, and Vanguard Sire (+)JDH Karu Manso 800. The dam to Miss SNS 493/8 results from crossing the International Champion and one of the most widely used sires in the breed +Mr. V8 901/4 with a daughter of the Reserve International Champion and one of the leading sires of show champions, +Mr. V8 777/4 “Powerstroke”.
As a result of the genetic excellence in her pedigree 58/2 charts positive for Growth and ranks in the top 15% of the breed for Milk, 10% for Ribeye Area, and 1% for Marbling EPD’s. The pedigree that backs 58/2 is extremely proven and combines many of the most influential animals in the breed. We think this female would be ideal to be bred to a homozygous polled bull or one of the young popular sires that comes from outcross genetics. We will be glad to provide mating suggestions for 58/2.
Miss Sandglass 58/2 sells exposed to our herd sire JDH Mr. Caine Manso 742/7 #987780. However, we will keep her until she is confirmed bred. We brought 58/2 home from being shown in September and sent her to be AI bred. With her not being bred and the sale quickly approaching we began exposing her naturally on November 1.
