Miss Sandglass 78/3 is the second of the flushmates selling that result from some of the most proven genetics to be produced by the J.D. Hudgins Ranch.  Of course, you appreciate the phenotypic attributes of this female that include her complete build, depth of body, length, bone, and naturally gentle disposition.  The most studious breeders will recognize the genetic excellence that this female offers.  She is out of one of the MOST PROVEN donors in the breed, +JDH Lady Manso 730.  This premier female was first recognized due to her superior show ring success accumulating numerous class wins and division titles at BOTH the International & National Shows.  She immediately went to the donor pen where she staked a claim as one of the breed greats with numerous offspring earning show ring titles placing her in the ABBA Register of Renown as well as producing sale toppers in the J.D. Hudgins Production Sales and influencers in some of the breeds most progressive herds. The proven production of 730 should come as no surprise due to her dam producing until she was 18 years of age, producing numerous influential offspring to include JDH Mr. Manso 19/5 who was marketed by ST Genetics and JDH Lady Manso 729 a donor for CE Cattle.  The sire to 730 is JDH Mr. Manso 991/4 a proven sire with some of the top sellers and show winners for J.D. Hudgins-Forgason Cattle Company and other progressive ranches.  It should be known that last June +JDH Lady Manso 730 died thus outside of frozen genetics there will be no more of her offspring.

The sire to Miss Sandglass 78/3 is +JDH Mr. Manso 840 “The Graduate”, who was the 2014 National Champion and now a proven sire with winners around the world.  It should be noted that at the 2024 World Brahman Congress 840 sired the Intermediate Champion Bull validating his continued siring ability.  Also, in the recent AJBA Semen Sale a straw of 840 brought over $5,800 confirming the interest and demand for his genetics.  We like 840 and continue to use him due to the show ring appeal of his offspring but more importantly the productivity of his daughters which might be expected from the cross of the Vanguard Sire (+)JDH Atlas Manso 328/3 and a dam that has produced two Register of Renown herd sires.

To complete this package Miss Sandglass 78/3 charts moderate for Birth Weight and ranks in the top of the breed for the economically relevant traits of Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Milk, Ribeye Area, and Marbling.

Study this opportunity closely as we don’t think you can find another female that combines the pedigree clout, performance, and phenotype that is offered here!
